August OOTD

hey babes

The last week I've been visiting New York since I'm moving here at the end of the year! A few months ago this move was wayyy out of my comfort zone (which is exactly why I was pushing myself to do it) but after spending a bit of time here exploring I feel more exited about starting a new chapter.

Today I wore this velour corset top, high rise denim shorts layered with a white men's chemise. I like that the oversize shirt adds an androgynous touch to an otherwise more feminine outfit. In the summer I usually (aka when I am blessed with foresight) carry a shirt like this in my bag to cover up if I need to because sometimes being in my lil top and booty shorts on the subway just isn't the mood. Another thing I like is that it also gives off this "I just rolled out of bed and don't give a damn" vibe. Oh and I'm also wearing a mask in public for obvious reasons.

4 Summer Outfits Wearing a Graphic Tee

Hey babes

This summer I've really been into dark looks so I've been obsessively wearing my favorite graphic tee that I picked up at Caravane Vintage. This is a female owned boutique in Montreal where you can find gorgeous Canadian and American vintage pieces. For me the difference between vintage and second hand is vintage is anything that's 30 years and older that's still in a wearable condition whereas secondhand can be anything as recent as last season that you find at a thrift store. Vintage is usually at a higher price point but both are great options for keeping your closet more sustainable! I had been looking for a Harley shirt for so long that when I finally found one that was my style I jumped on it and was so exited to make some summer outfits with it- hope you guys enjoy!

These gorgeous striped jeans give off serious train conductor vibes and I like how they pair with the dark tee to lighten the look up. Even though the top and the bottom are vintage I used modern accessories to freshen it up and give a more femme-y twist to this grunge look.

Jeans- Caravane Vintage

Earrings- Urban and western belt (not the same but similar!)

Shoes- Roc Australia
