hello my loves!
this week I'm featuring my lovely friend Mads who agreed to let me photograph them and do a lil interview discussing what parts of queer fashion matter to them. Mads describes their style as yellow farmer goth, jacket slut, and Carhartt dyke. What's important to them is feeling sexy in their clothes as well as comfortable and warm.
"I definitely try to express my identity through my clothes because I always want to be the most clockable dyke at the grocery store, ya know. Recently I've been wearing a lot of "men's" clothes that are pretty oversized on me and they make me feel very comfortable and confident"
"Honestly the main thing I reach for are my Carhartt men's double front work pants that I've worn for all my gardening and alpaca jobs so they're all stained and covered in paint but they fit me like a glove and they're very comfortable. I wear them with an oversized men's long sleeve shirt I thrifted and I feel at my most comfortable and good in my body"
One style secret from this queer's closet is always wearing wool socks if it's going to be cold as well as layering with tights under pants. Another thing they do to alter outfits is peg-rolling their men's straight leg pants to make them hug their ankles and give a more crisp silhouette. (You can check out their tiktok @monsteramonsterosa for a how-to guide!)
Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a beautiful gay rest of the weekend!
